Meet the Team

Dr. Krishna Bhatt is an experienced veterinarian, who has practiced veterinary medicine in Canada, the USA, and Nepal. After graduating from the Veterinary School in Nepal in 2011, Dr. Bhatt moved to Canada to pursue his graduate degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences (VMS) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary, Canada. Dr. Bhatt was practicing in Brentwood, California before joining our team at Santa Rita Animal Care Clinic in Pleasanton. Bhatt enjoys working with small animals and is passionate about providing premium quality animal care. He believes in consistent learning and applying new and advanced techniques to improve the quality of care for our furry friends. He is trained and proficient in small animal Emergency and critical care, surgeries, dentistry, and internal medicine. Dr. Bhatt is a member of the California Veterinary Medical Board, American Veterinary Medical Association, Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, and Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. When not busy caring for our furry friends, Dr. Bhatt loves spending time outdoors with his family along with their diluted orange tabby Cat named Mimi. He also loves playing Squash, badminton, and Tennis.

Dr. Mandeep has been in small animal practice since 1998. He graduated from Punjab Veterinary College, India. Then he completed a one-year clinical rotation program in Alabama. Dr. Mandeep completed his Masters in preventive medicine and parasitology in 2000. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Mandeep has a special interest and experience in preventive health care, internal medicine, geriatric health and screening, routine and complicated surgery. He also has special interest in Laser Surgery and orthopaedic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife & kids.

Hello, my name is Gabriella. I have currently made the change to Santa Rita Animal Care as a Veterinary Assistant. Before this change, I worked in upholstery for 10 years, but due to my love for animals, I made the move over to the vet field 3 years ago! My goal for this field is to work my way up to a specialty hospital for cardio or dental work. My hobbies are working on cars, sewing, cooking, and going hiking/camping with my 2 human babies and my 2 fur babies.

Hello everyone, my name is Daisy! I've been working in the veterinary industry for a little over 2 years now, but I've worked with animals through let sitting and doggy daycare for over 5 years. I've worked as both a client service representative and vet assistant, but I've always preferred being up at the front. I have a 7 year old guinea pig named Angus and he is an absolute joy to be around. My hobbies include feeding stray cats, befriending tattoo artists, and attending concerts. My goals are to help out as many clients and patients as possible; whether it be answering questions or taking in last minute appointments. If I can help to ensure families leave in better condition than they came in, I know I met my objective. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, both the pets and pet parents!

Hello! My name is Nadia. I currently work as a Veterinary Assistant at Santa Rita Animal Care. My current goal for this field is to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can and reapply to the veterinary profession. Eventually I'd also like to get my RVT license, I attended Carrington's RVT program but left midway due to Covid regulations/restrictions. I've been in this field for 3 years and my most favorite part is seeing pets and pet parents in a better condition and if possible, a better mood after leaving our care. I speak both English and Spanish. I currently have 2 pets of my own. A 2-year-old black female cat named Rango and Cherry Barb Fish with no name. One of my favorite hobbies is digesting video games. Meaning if I enjoy a game, I will look for more details that the story is trying to tell you. Whether it be other people's theories, company leaks, etc. It will be a pleasure working with the community and providing our services.

Hello! My name is Joseph Encinias. I am a veterinary assistant at Santa Rita Animal Care Clinic. I have been in the veterinary field for a little over 2 years now, but I have prior experience working at shelters and the Oakland Zoo. With my previous experience at the zoo I was the “Exotics Captain” at my previous hospital, where I was the main tech in charge of the treatment and care of the exotic patients there. My goal is to help as many animals as possible and pursue my RVT license. When I am not at work I love to watch anime and play video games with my online friends. I am thankful to have the opportunity to help clients and their furry, non-furry, slimy, scaly, or feathery friends, and I look forward to meeting many more.

Hello! My name is Micaelan and I am the Kennel Assistant! I help clean up after our furry patients and offer them support during treatment. I’ve had a dog walking/pet sitting business since I was 17 and trained to be a EMT at 22 when I stumbled into my love of Veterinary Medicine. I am 23 now and have been working here at Santa Rita Animal Care Clinic since January 2024 and I am happy to be of service!
